So our adventure to the Slough started out slow....too windy to kayak, too cold and windy to hike (I know, we ARE almost spoiled). We pulled up at Kirby Park and just watched from the View, decided a scone and strawberries and a Rumikube game was in order. The only wildlife we saw was Hammy, then at last we got a show from some pelicans catching fish. Then we drove to the mouth of the slough to see if we could put in there but it was still too cold and windy for the kayaks so watched forty some otters through binocs......still very fun. Then Sandy and Joel surprised us with a call and visit so another wonderful day on the road!
