Sept 26th Burney Falls

Burney Falls was the most amazing place to visit, and it was a State Park so we got the $15 campsite, no hookups. Of course we froze with our electric heater, and no electricity but it was beautiful. If any of you have not been to this place, put it on your list!!! And it's so close to the Tahoe/Reno area. There is a pretty good size lake where you can swim, boat, kayak or fish right inside the park. The hikes around the falls are not technical at all but take you down to the bottom of the falls as well as upstream to the top. We loved it and in warmer weather would like to spend a week there just to do all the hikes. There are something like 150 miles of hiking trails in the park!!!!! And the space for the View was big and private and we had a nice huge campfire and watched the stars....ahhhhhh
