First of all I don't think we would recommend this road, at least not in an RV. It was supposed to be three hours to the coast and ended up taking us 4.5 hours. Now we did a short side trip because we thought we were going to Trinity but shortly after making the turn we saw that the arms of the lake were completely dry and didn't want to make the whole trip to the lake only to be disappointed so decided to turn around and head to the coast instead. It was pelting rain the whole way and super curvy. I started looking in the guides for places to stay south on 101 and didn't find anything that looked good so we ended up going North...........Here is a shot of the Trinity River and the area called 6 Rivers.
